"After almost 11 years at Electronic Arts, I have chosen to pursue possibilities elsewhere. My experience at EA has been an unforgettable journey," he said. Another well-known EA Sports employee also tendered his resignation last week. Chief Technology director Richard Wifall tweeted that his final day at the Madden studio was the 15th of April, on a Friday and that he's excited about the next game.
Initial reports of resignations were reported by the sports gaming website PastaPadre which announced the previous week that "several senior players" from their Tiburon group are "on the way to leave" and heading to a "new studio that was founded by an Tiburon Executive."
According to gaming website Joystiq the studio is named Row Sham Bow and is located in Winter Park. The studio was established by Phillip Holt, the former EA Tiburon general manager Phillip Holt.
Wifall said to the website that he was working along with Cummings, Holt, and "several other highly talented people" in the new development facility However, he didn't provide any details, saying that "We aren't yet ready to talk about our future plans at this point."
