There was a feeling, which in many ways, still feel abandoned by Blizzard. Diablo 2 Resurrected will begin to rectify the situation. Blizzard is a company that is in transformation. In the midst of the impending Microsoft merger Diablo 2 Resurrected could prove to be the last game produced by "Old Blizzard," and there's a lot of pressure to deliver the experience they've been waiting for, especially as it's been a while since Diablo 3, other D2R Items games that are in the same genre, like Path of Exile, have been able to challenge Blizzard's looted crown.

There's a looping mechanism in Diablo that is central to the whole game working or not working. Is it satisfying to step into the dungeon with no thought, killing mobs and obtaining loot? When Diablo 2 Resurrected gets that right and implements a similar system like Loot2.0 from Diablo 3, then we're already concerned about the amount of time we'll get to be spending playing. The disaster in Diablo 3 is the best thing that could have happened to the franchise on an ongoing basis. When you combine it alongside an Immortal controversy, it appears like Blizzard is able to provide a straightforward roadmap of potholes to avoid so that  D2 Resurrected Ladder Items can remain among the best of it's customers who are the best of its.
